There is still time to apply or finish your Spring 2026 application to the CITE/SJNY SBL/SDL/Master’s Program

Application Checklist  

1. Apply online (DEADLINE 3/2/26)

Link here: https://bkadmissions.sjny.edu/apply

  • Create New User:
    Create new user account> follow instructions> create password>
  • Start New Application:
    Select: start new application-graduate application>
  • Select the CITE Program
    under program of study-graduate division, select education> academic program, select CITE Masters> select term interest> full term

  • Submit Application – Begin and submit your application even if it is incomplete  

2.  Submit Application Materials 

  • Current Resume Showing at least 3 years of teaching
  • Letter of commitment from a school / district indicating approval for internship
  • Earned Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field, with a 3.0 GPA
  • Completed application along with $25 application fee
  • Official Transcripts (Min 3.0 GPA)
  • Two (2) letters of professional reference – One (1) must be from current place of employment
  • Letter of support indicating internship position approval
  • NYSED Teaching License
  • Select the CITE Program on the application

  • Office Hours are drop-in sessions, with no reservation necessary. Dr. James will be on hand for application help, and to answer questions. Use the link in this chart at the time of the session.
  • Open Houses are full presentaion sessions about the program and application process. Please reserve a spot at the link below.
  • FAQs are sessions geared for applicants and prospective applicants, as well as accepted students, focused on the Program FAQs. These are drop-in sessions. Use the link in the chart at the time of the session.
  • The Info Session puts both of our administration programs side-by-side for a session focused on the details of each, with CITE staff on hand to answer questions. Please reserve a spot at the link below.
